Michaela Cole wins the BAFTA TV Awards 2021

On June 6, 2021, the winners of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA TV Awards) were announced.

Michaela Coel’s BBC and HBO series “I May Destroy You” won two of the show’s most prestigious awards, one for best miniseries and the other for Coel as the show’s starring actress.

BAFTA TV Awards

At the BAFTA TV Awards 2021, Paul Mescal of the BBC and HULU sitcom “Normal People” won the leading actor award. Production design, costume design, photography and lighting, scripted casting, narrative, and make-up and hair design were among the five BAFTAs awarded to Steve McQueen’s BBC and Amazon miniseries “Small Axe.”

At the BAFTA TV Craft Honors on May 24, 2021, the ‘I May Destroy You’ series earned awards for best mini-series, director-fiction, editing-fiction, and writer–drama.

The award presentation, which was held in person for the first time since the COVID-19 epidemic, was hosted by filmmaker and actor Richard Ayoade. Olly Alexander, a singer, kicked off the awards night with his new track “Starstruck.” Nominees Billie Piper, Coel, Paul Mescal, and Jodie Comer were present.

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA), formerly known as the British Film Academy, was founded in 1947 with the goal of promoting, supporting, and developing moving image art forms such as film and television in the United Kingdom.

Dilip Kumar, veteran actor, has been admitted to the hospital due to breathing problems.
