About NIT Silchar

NIT Silchar follows a flexible, credit-based semester system with continuous internal evaluation, electives and minor / honours options. Established in 1967, it is an Institute of National Importance funded by the Ministry of Education and is NAAC A++ accredited with NBA-accredited programmes. Teaching is delivered by a research-active faculty across well-equipped laboratories, and undergraduate students are encouraged to take up B.Tech projects, internships and research internships from their pre-final year onwards.
