IIT Delhi follows a flexible, credit-based semester system with continuous internal evaluation, electives and minor / honours options. Established in 1961, it is an Institute of National Importance governed by the IIT Council and is NAAC A++ accredited with NBA-accredited programmes. Teaching is delivered by a research-active faculty across well-equipped laboratories, and undergraduate students are encouraged to take up B.Tech projects, internships and research internships from their pre-final year onwards.
