There are no credit checks or minimum balance requirements when trying to open a Dave spending account – just pass a security check and you’re good to go!

If you’re a Dave member, you’ll need to pay back any outstanding balance before opening a Dave Spending account.

Activating your Dave Debit Mastercard

Congratulations on receiving your new Dave Debit Mastercard®!

To activate your new Dave card:

• Go to Profile

• Scroll and tap Manage debit card

• Tap Activate debit card

Enter the last 4 numbers of your card and expiration date, then set your PIN and you’re set to start spending! You can also add your card to a digital wallet.

After you open an account or replace your Dave Debit Mastercard®, it can take up to 10 business days (Monday – Friday) to arrive.

If you have not received your debit card after 10 business days, you can request a replacement card.

While you wait for your physical debit card to arrive, you can use your virtual card to make online purchases or set it up for your digital wallet, like Apple Pay or G Pay.

NOTE: Cards can be reissued up to 4 times per year. If this limit is reached, you’ll need to wait to request a replacement.

Adding your card to a digital wallet

You can add your Dave Debit Mastercard® or virtual card to use with Apple Pay or G Pay.

To find your Dave Debit Mastercard® or virtual card information:

• Head to your Profile

• Tap Manage debit card or Manage virtual card

Based on your device, follow the steps to set your Dave card as default:

Apple Pay (iOS)

On your iOS device:

• Go to Settings > Wallet & Apple Pay

• Under Transaction Defaults, click ‘Default’

• Select your Dave debit card as your default

G Pay (Android)

Once in the G Pay app:

• Tap ‘Payment’

• Tap the payment method you want to make your default

• Tap ‘Make default’

Finding your Dave Debit Mastercard® or virtual card information

You can easily find and manage your Dave Debit Mastercard® and virtual card right in your app.

To find your card information:

• Head to your Profile

• Tap Manage debit card or Manage virtual card

Heads up! Your Dave Debit Mastercard® and your virtual card have different numbers and you can set up your virtual card up to your digital wallet.
